Our Speaker

Dr. Bert Jones serves as Capitol Commission’s North Carolina State Minister. Bert is a lifelong resident of Reidsville, NC, husband of Susan since 1991, and father of their grown children David and Caroline. A dentist by profession, he serves as one of the non-vocational pastor/elders in his local church.

Born to Christian parents who taught him about God and took him to church, Bert accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at age eight. From his own experience, he understands the importance of establishing a relationship with Christ early in life. He continued to grow in his faith during his youth and college years, and served with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes ministry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was introduced to Capitol Commission during his eight years of service in the state legislature. After his prayerful decision to retire from the legislature, he was humbled and honored to have the opportunity to lead the Capitol Commission ministry in North Carolina.
